About me

The short version

I've been in the U.S. Marines. Worked for peace in Afghanistan. Taught recruits how to shoot. Played poker inside a Top Secret facility. Signed a poster meant for rockstars that now sits in a Hard Rock Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona — start at BB King's name and scroll down.

I've pretended to be a U.S. Navy SEAL on a History channel television show between college classes and I once yelled quite loudly, "Holy S—t, you're Bob Schieffer from Face the Nation!" during an interview at CBS News when he walked in to get coffee. I've been a proud employee of both Blockbuster Video and Taco Bell.

I've written, contributed to or appeared on and in The New York TimesThe Washington PostThe Daily BeastChicago TribuneBoston GlobeThe Military TimesCBS NewsMSNBCCNN and Newsmax TV among others. Thanks for visiting my website. Scroll down to see my latest work.
